    Description

    Who We Are:
    Roper Greyell is one of the most well-respected and recognized workplace law practices in Western Canada. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant. This position will directly report to the Director of Finance. Successful candidates will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as an accountant in the legal industry.

    The minimum education requirements for this position is a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting or finance.

    This is a permanent and full-time position, hours will be Monday through Friday, 8.Oversight on all trust accounting with the Firm ensuring compliance with all requirements as set out by the Law Society of BC.

    collaboration with Billing Coordinator and AR Specialist to complete the monthly billing cycle in a timely manner.
    Prepares month end GL account reconciliations and journal entries.
    Daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
    Responsible for regulatory reporting requirements including PST, GST, EHT, and WCB.
    Prepares financial reports and assists with budgeting as requested by senior leadership.
    Implements and maintains best accounting practices.
    Manages escalated billing and accounting matters.
    Minimum of 5 years of experience as an accountant in the legal industry.
    Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in accounting or finance.
    In-depth knowledge and extensive experience with trust accounting practices
    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and proficiency with Word and Outlook.
    Proficiency with accounting software, Acumin preferred.
    Experience with document management systems, Worldox is an asset.
