    Senior Accountant
    Location: Toronto, CAN

    What You'll Do

    The Senior Accountant will be responsible for client reporting, both internal and external, specifically preparing financial statements, analyzing its results and other administration, as required.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities include:


    • Preparation and review of client reports

    • Assemble and reference documentation required for client reports

    • Branch/Lot Profit and Loss review

    • Review contracts to ensure that landlord reports are set up properly and rents are booked correctly
    Corporate reporting

    • Monthly and quarterly variance reports

    • GL reconciliation and Balance Sheet package preparation

    • Intercompany reconciliation

    • Preparation and review of reports and requested information for internal and external audits
    General Accounting

    • Post accruals and adjusting journal entries

    • Prepare journal entries for the reallocation of revenue and expenses

    • Ensure that Clearing Accounts and Suspense accounts are balanced

    • Prepare sales tax filing and remittances

    • Assist Account Management/Operations with the production of special reports

    • Processing rent requests

    • Complete all the journal entries, adjusting entries and reconciliation of all the accounts
    • Check for accurate coding of GL entries, including the allocations of costs
    • Manage & analyze the variances and follow-up with corrections or explain differences (strong P&L analytical skills)
    • Analyze and prepare monthly GST/HST/QST returns

    What We Want From You:

    • CPA designated
    • Over 5 years of experience with full-cycle accounting and month/year-end reporting
    • Microsoft office product: Word and Advanced Excel skills (Vlookup, Pivot tables, etc.)
    • Experience of working with deadlines
    • Detail oriented with strong analytical ability
    • Excellent judgment and interpersonal skills

    Work is performed indoors for extended periods of time including up to the entire duration of shift.
