    General Responsibilities
    The Compensation Specialist at Hydro One will be responsible for supporting the implementation and evaluation of compensation programs and procedures, such as the annual compensation cycle, market benchmark assessments, and compensation recommendations.

    Specific Responsibilities:
    • Assist in planning and executing the annual compensation cycle, handling merit increases, incentives, and other yearly compensation initiatives
    • Aid in preparing materials for the Board of Directors regarding compensation decisions
    • Contribute to creating Hydro One's annual compensation disclosures and reports for regulatory compliance
    • Develop informative materials to enhance stakeholder comprehension of Hydro One's compensation structures and any alterations
    • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and external research to support data-driven decisions concerning compensation programs
    • Serve as an internal authority on compensation matters, offering advice on program details, compensation proposals, and job assessments

    Key Qualifications:
    Selection Criteria:
    • Hold a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Human Resources, or related fields
    • 4 – 6 years of relevant experience in human resources, specifically in compensation and incentive programs
    • Demonstrated understanding of human resources principles, with a focus on Compensation
    • Proficient in analytical skills, with an eye for detail in data manipulation and presentation
    • Advanced Excel skills are necessary; familiarity with PowerPoint and Word is a plus
    • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with sound judgment
    • Excellent communication skills; capable of summarizing and presenting complex information to diverse stakeholders
    • Adept at fostering collaborative relationships across all levels of staff
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work to align with organizational objectives
    • Preferred experience in executive and equity compensation, or utilizing SuccessFactors and/or Shareworks
