- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Business Management required
- Minimum five years of administrative experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated team leadership and the ability to engage and motivate employees, to work collaboratively as an effective team player throughout an organization. Previous experience working in a complex and unionized higher educational institution is preferred.
- Proven ability to deal with sensitive situations that call for the use of diplomacy, tact and professionalism in the delivery of information and explanations.
- Demonstrated judgment, discretion and the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Ability to plan and manage multiple projects in a rapidly changing environment, effectively prioritizing work to meet departmental goals.
- Demonstrated innovation and change management skills which include supporting and encouraging new ideas and approaches to build organizational effectiveness.
- Previous experience within the Health Sector and/or a Health Faculty preferred.
- Knowledge of external accrediting agencies, administrative and reporting requirements, strategic enrollment management concepts and academic policies and processes that contribute to a quality educational experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex budget management.
- Ability to travel between campuses is required.

JOB OVERVIEW: DIVISIONAL BUSINESS MANAGER, FACULTY OF HEALTH This role reports to the Dean, Faculty of Health. Reporting directly to this position are the Administrative Coordinator, Communications and Events Coordinators, Dean's Assistant, and Lab Instructors. PRIMARY FUNCTION The Divisional Business Manager (DBM), Faculty of Health is responsible for providing strategic business leadership and administration to the Faculty. The DBM implements and oversees the management, financial and human resources systems, classroom and lab utilization and controls to ensure the Faculty operations are effective and efficient, and meet the needs of each program and is strategically aligned to the University, operating within defined policies and procedures. Salary Information
The compensation range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary (as listed above) for a position. Approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications and experience for the position. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and approximately halfway of the salary range for a job. Annual salary increases are available through participation in the Administrative Performance Management program
