    Our team – 2,700 people, close to half of whom focus on sales and marketing, and more than 50% of whom are Richelieu shareholders.

    Richelieu Hardware is currently seeking a Territory Sales Representative in Newfoundland (NL), under the supervision of the Industrial Sales Manager. The majority of travel will be on the Avalon however 3-4 cross island trips will be necessary in a calendar year. The Territory Sales Representative will ensure the development of new customers and the retention of existing customers.

    Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled visits to targeted clients while growing the customer base. Some travelling outside of the territory is a possibility.
  • Build relationship with customers.
  • Improve sales by optimizing the product selection.
  • Respond to inquiries about products and services.
  • Attend trade shows and sales meeting occasionally.
  • Prepare information packages and other necessary supporting materials.
  • Produce expense reports.
  • Maintain updated information for customer records, prospects and service proposals.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the development strategy and marketing plan.
  • Continuously updating all customers on company product modifications, changes, and enhancements.
  • Requirements

  • Post secondary education in Marketing or a related field would be an asset, combined with relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in wholesale distribution to industrial manufacturers with a focus on the secondary wood processing industry-residential/commercial casework, hospitality furniture, wood windows, kitchen cabinetry and architectural woodwork.
  • Excellent English communication (written and spoken).
  • Good computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented with good presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Organized, autonomous, resourceful, hardworking.
  • Compensation includes a base salary + commission, a car allowance, a group insurance program and an Employee Share Purchase Plan.
