Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be a key member of Everest Insurance Company of Canada's ('EvCan', 'Company') management team.

You will foster a culture of sales & service excellence, entrepreneurship, transparency, collaboration, candor, and inclusiveness.

You will develop distribution strategies and will partner with underwriting to execute key initiatives to achieve mutual profitable growth objectives.

You will be instrumental in maintaining excellent distribution and customer relationships, enhancing EvCan's brand and driving its value proposition in the market.


OBJECTIVE:

  • Working with underwriting leadership, develop and refine all aspects of EvCan's national distribution strategy.
  • Alongside underwriting leadership, drive execution of the distribution strategy by implementing tactics and KPIs, setting performance expectations and holding peers accountable.
  • Drive customer intimacy by building and managing relationships with key distribution partners and customers.
  • Support the growth of prequalified submissions, improving quote & hit ratios, and driving profitable growth across the Company. Coordinate the delivery of EvCan's product & service solutions to the market.
  • Promote the institutionalization of a sales & service culture across the Company, supporting the marketing efforts of production underwriting teams.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with U.S. and International Sales & Distribution teams and Group Marketing & Communications to improve local sales & marketing tools.
  • Enhance EvCan's brand recognition and value proposition with target markets and customers.
  • Ensure a highlevel of governance is maintained across all sales & distribution activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sales &

Distribution Strategy:
_ Establish EvCan's national Sales & Distribution strategy.

The strategy will include all underwriting and functional units, broker and MGA distribution, traditional and digital channels, and support and align with the fundamental vision and mission of the Company.


  • Sales &

Distribution Execution:
_ Establish the key initiatives, tactics, and processes that support the execution of the Sales & Distribution strategy.

Drive alignment around these initiatives, ensuring execution, proactively refining and course-correcting to stay in front of a dynamic and changing market.

Execute on profitable growth, rate, retention, and cross-sell initiatives.- Market Engagement &

Brand Value Recognition:

_ Improve the visibility of EvCan's brand with key distribution partners and customers, leveraging sponsorship opportunities, conference attendance, and marketing efforts.

Ensure consistent delivery and recognition of EvCan's value proposition in the market.- Customer and

Key Account Relationship Management:
_ Develop and maintain excellent business relationships with key broker and MGA partners as well as key customers. Position Everest as a top specialty commercial insurer with these partners and customers.

Setting clear expectations ensuring execution and accountability from all parties.- Distribution Governance:_ Ensure a high-level of governance in the distribution landscape, including managing Broker of Record Protocols, Producer Agreements, Contingent Profit Commission Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and any other relevant protocols and agreements.


SKILLS REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A person that demonstrates high integrity and embodies the cultural values of Everest.
  • Minimum five to ten years of progressive commercial underwriting and sales & distribution experience with exposure to national markets across Canada.
  • Deep knowledge of P&C underwriting and the landscape, dynamics, and distribution environment of the Canadian commercial insurance industry.
  • Established relationships with key people at all major brokers and MGAs across Canada.
  • Demonstrated ability to
- _profitably_ grow portfolios through the insurance cycle.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with underwriting teams, creating alignment across the Company, driving sales & distribution priorities.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication with the ability to effectively present key themes to distribution partners and senior leadership alike.
  • A bias for action with a high sense of urgency, strong work ethic, and drive for results.
  • Bilingualism (French & English) is an asset.
