    Site Superintendent – GEC | KELOWNA

    Job title:Superintendent

    Work Location:Kelowna and out of town projects

    Company/Department: Residential and Commercial Construction – Gerry Enns Contracting

    Reports to: Construction Manager

    Gerry Enns Contracting (GEC) is part of the Emil Anderson Group, a family-owned company with an 85-year history in British Columbia. Gerry Enns Contracting is one of the Fraser Valley's most trusted names for construction, building quality commercial properties for over 35 years. As part of the Emil Anderson Group GEC has recently expanded to the Okanagan Valley to better serve the needs of both the Emil Anderson Group and the community at large. We work with our development partner Emil Anderson Properties to build quality commercial projects. We are seeking an experienced Superintendent with a diverse skillset to support our various projects throughout the Okanagan.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    · Keep a daily log of construction activities

    · Hold weekly site meetings to track project schedules

    · Conduct Toolbox Talks and orientations

    · Develop and plan for project requirements (manpower, equipment, and materials)

    · Hold required site meetings

    · Daily walkthroughs of projects – quality assurance and site photo uploads

    · Daily updating of project schedules

    · Supervise field staff and trade partners

    · Full understanding of construction documents and blueprints

    · Have an excellent understanding of building code, construction practices and methods

    . Teamwork; Open to being on the tools

    · All duties as assigned by the Construction Manager

    Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

    · Minimum 5 years of Proven experience as a Residential and Commercial Superintendent

    · Adequate computer skills to communicate with all project stakeholders

    · Excellent organizational and time-management skills

    · Experience with Worksafe BC safety standards

    · Valid Driver's License

    · Current First Aid certification an asset

    · Familiarity with Procore and Salus an asset

    · Red Seal trade qualification is an asset

    The salary range for this position will be discussed during the interview stage, taking into consideration candidate qualifications and experience.
