As a non-profit, we help people develop skills and knowledge, empowering our neighbours to create positive change in their lives. Our team is made up of more than 420 staff, including expert counsellors and support workers who provide compassionate, client-centered care to youth experiencing homelessness, families and children impacted by trauma, victims of domestic violence, and other vulnerable people from an evidence-based, trauma-informed lens. We believe in building a brighter future for all British Columbians and providing a supportive and inclusive workplace for all our staff. Providing Resources and Independence for Youth Development (PRIYD) offers one to one and group support to children and youth with developmental disabilities and behavioural support needs. Integration Support Workers formulate goals, action plans and strategies together with clients and their caregivers, under the support and guidance of the Coordinators and Managers. Through community based recreational activities, Integration Support Workers increase each individual's independence and provide support to the family from a client-centered approach. Staff work directly with children and youth who may have diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down's Syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Fragile X syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, and/or mental health concerns such as anxiety and depression.
