**Production Planner

  • Scheduler**
    Fulltime, Hamilton
Proudly producing high-quality brushes since 1933, looking for a Production Planner-scheduler to join a longstanding Hamilton-based manufacturer.

As a vital member of the production management team, you'll help ensure that the manufacturing process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Providing ongoing to the Production Manager with related administration in the following areas:
Expertly coordinating procurement with production, managing inventory, and overseeing our ERP system on a daily basis.


Specific Responsibilities:


  • Mastering our ERP system: coordinate procurement with production and use our ERP system to maintain inventory levels, track orders, and ensure all inventory is tidy, neat, and labeled
  • Coordinating materials; working closely with production management to ensure raw materials are coordinated with production schedules in a timely manner and ordered on time
  • Manufacturing scheduling: Planning and scheduling the production of various products throughout the manufacturing process
  • Capacity planning and

Inventory Management:
ensure that the inventory is managed effectively to ensure levels are maintained.

  • Administrative duties: Strong administrative skills are required to manage these requirements effectively.

Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of extensive experience in ERP systems, manufacturing scheduling, supply chain capacity planning
  • Strong technical administrative skillset for reporting and data management, and sharing.
  • Excellent communication skills, collaborative, teamspirited, open, and flexible.
  • Sound working knowledge in MS Office365; ERP system knowledge, Advanced Excel desired
  • Handson and theoretical knowledge of supply chain and material planning concepts.
  • Production plant floor experience: someone who knows the intricacies of manufacturing is considered an asset.
  • Organized with proven negotiation and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility for rotating shifts, OT, as the need arises.

Education:

A post-secondary diploma or post-graduate certificate in Supply Chain Management is ideal.
