    GE Healthcare Engineering Director, Premium Anesthesia Lifecycle in Madison, Wisconsin

    The Engineering Director is accountable for ARC's business's Premium Anesthesia segment Install base engineering strategy and execution, focusing on key areas of business operations:

    • Installed Base operations
    • Product Quality
    • End Of Product Life
    • End of Guaranteed Service
    • Variable Cost Productivity
    • Customer Satisfaction
    • First Pass Yield

    The Engineering Director leads the Premium Anesthesia installed base engineering product portfolio, overseeing all installed base engineering operations and contributing to global Advanced Technology Development efforts as needed, based on input from the install base.

    The Engineering Director collaborates with the Global Install base Sr. Director, ARC business's CTO, and other Engineering Directors to articulate and implement the installed base strategy on products, platforms, processes, and engineering organizational development.

    Director oversight includes driving the entire Premium Anesthesia Lifecycle Management Strategy, operations, and install base scorecard/metrics. Leading a team based in Madison, WI, comprising engineers and program management.

    Engineering leadership involves overseeing all ARC Premium IB operations, encompassing but not limited to On-Time Delivery of IB projects, Product Quality, Portfolio Quality KPIs (Investigations, Non-Conformances, CAPA), ICV (Cost), Customer Satisfaction, Installed Base engineering, and portfolio VCP (Variable cost Productivity).

    Active ownership is taken of all engineering actions affecting OTD, such as engineering changes, product quality holds, etc.

    Principles of Lean are adopted to streamline lifecycle operations to maximize engineering efficiency and ensure customer and stakeholder satisfaction.

    Collaboration with the product management and engineering teams is essential to manage the post-launch lifecycle of products within ARC, ensuring that products retain high quality, cost-effectiveness, competitiveness, and state-of-the-art status.

    The Engineering Director will inspire, coach, and nurture a high-performance team focused on customer satisfaction and business outcomes, playing a key role in planning and executing strategic goals.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in electrical, Biomedical, or Computer Engineering, or an equivalent discipline
    • Years of design and development experience, preferably in medical device development
    • Years of engineering management experience, including leadership of direct reports
    • Years of program management experience, leading product development efforts from concept to delivery for introduction into the global market
    • Years of experience in various installed base leadership roles, with experience managing IB efforts, including IB projects, regulatory audit support, Field Modifications/Recalls, Quality & Compliance KPIs, and Manufacturing and Service KPIs with respect to the installed base

    The ideal candidate should have demonstrated ability to deliver results while leading multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing, and quality of outcomes. Furthermore, possessing engineering knowledge, program management skills, business planning processes, and familiarity with FDA design control requirements is crucial.

    Experience with GE Healthcare's Quality Management System, product development framework, and associated tools is advantageous.
