    Division Services Centre
    Religious Education Consultant

    Temporary Full Time – 1.Albert Catholic Schools is located on the original lands of the Cree, those of Treaty 6, and on the homeland of the Métis nation.

    The Division is honoured and proud to serve the students and families of Legal, Morinville, St.

    Albert, Alexander First Nation and parts of Sturgeon County by providing a welcoming, Christ-centered learning community, where we awaken the hearts and minds of students while educating and nurturing each to learn, live fully and serve others.

    August 23, 2024 until June 27, 2025 with possibility of extension Education:

    Possess a Bachelor of Education and valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
    Graduate studies or related coursework is considered an asset
    Committed to being a model and witness to Christ-centered education values and beliefs
    Apply foundational knowledge about First Nations, Métis and Inuit for the benefit of all students, and support the Division's goals towards advancing Truth and Reconciliation
    Committed to upholding, and advocating for Catholic education
    Diverse experience and expertise in religious education, curriculum, instruction and assessment
    Work with the Assistant Superintendent of Learning Services to support religious education programming
    Collaborate with diocesan, parish, and school leaders; lead bi-monthly parish partnership meetings between parish priests and school principals
    Engage Division and school-based leaders (CCLC, school faith lead teachers) to build personal and collective professional capacities with regard to faith and religious education
    Lead monthly faith formation for Division leaders (CCLC)
    Guide implementation of the K-12 religious education and Christian family life programming
    Represent the Division within the Diocesan network of (CAEREC) and provincial Religious Education Network (REN).
    Support Division efforts addressing social justice; liaise with Catholic Social Services and other Catholic non-profit agencies
    Assist school-based leaders in planning and celebrating liturgical activities (masses, liturgies, retreats, prayers, etc.)
    Support school-based student groups (faith groups, Life Framework groups)
    Plan and organize Blueprints Day (annual staff faith formation day) and support planning of the Division Faith and Wellness Day
    Communicate and celebrate the good news of how faith is animated within the Division (Telling Our Story, GrACE)
