    Description

    Responsible for the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing Company policies and practices for Seal & Design Canada Division.

    • Assists with payroll functions as needed including processing, answering employee questions, fixing errors and check distribution.
    • Utilizes HCM system to maintain accurate employee data and documentation
    • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training
    • Maintains compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices for compliance.
    • Continually seeks professional development opportunities to stay up to date on changes in the HR field and provincial/federal law to support continued growth
    • Oversees employee performance review system ensuring reviews are completed on time and per company policy
    • Promotes corporate wellness initiatives and supports a healthy lifestyle culture for employees through education and program offerings
    • Enforces safety policies and practices to ensure culture of health and safety; Performs other duties as assigned, including general clerical duties such as operating the phone system to answer and distribute calls, scan and index all documents, coordinate company events, manage and replenish office supplies, etc.
    • Leads by example and maintains a consistent presence within the building to ensure that all employees have regular access to Human Resources all while promoting our company's mission, vision, values, and culture.
    • Backup in accounting department for invoicing and processing payments.
    • Light administrative duties, including directing incoming phone calls and assisting with digitizing documents.
    Bachelor's degree and/or 3-5 years of HR experience

    • Proficiency working in a computer supported environment with payroll and HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
