    DMC is currently seeking an Intermediate Designer, Electrical to join our team based in our Vaughan, ON office.

    In this role, the selected candidate will collaborate with other designers and engineers and will be responsible for designing and drafting various electrical deliverables.

    Contributes to the team by actively participating in electrical design and drafting of low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems.


    • Develops detailed electrical, instrumentation and control drawings.
    • Prepares various deliverables such as single line diagrams, equipment layouts, cable tray layouts, grounding layouts, wiring and schematic diagrams, installation details, panel schedules, cable schedules, electrical heat tracing, bill of materials, PLC or instrumentation panels, etc.
    • Creates and maintains drawings using AutoCAD.
    • Maintains electrical data, documentation, and drawings.
    • College Diploma or University Degree in electrical engineering technology or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experience in heavy industrial settings.
    • Working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Codes, electrical engineering principles and practices, industry and regulatory codes and standards (OESC, NEC, CSA, IEEE, NFPA).
    • Proficient in developing and drafting drawings with a keen interest in learning new techniques.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
    • Experience with Revit is highly desirable.
    • Electrical design experience in underground mining is a strong asset.
