    Description
    Our client is a leading Canadian alternative asset manager with a diversified portfolio of alternative strategies.

    This role offers the opportunity to craft and implement an integrated global tax structure, nurture an internal tax team and collaborate on business development initiatives.

    Crafting and implementing an integrated global tax structure, considering accounting, foreign tax implications, and business impacts.
    Developing and nurturing an internal tax team to keep pace with our global growth.
    Collaborating on business development initiatives, ensuring tax efficiency for acquisitions, joint ventures, and new ventures.
    Overseeing global tax compliance and transfer pricing, with a focus on key jurisdictions worldwide.
    Managing employee taxation matters, including relocation and executive compensation.
    Leading all tax inquiries and stakeholder engagements with confidence and integrity.
    Staying abreast of tax legislation changes to ensure organizational compliance and competitiveness.

    Providing tax structuring advice to investments and acquisitions within North America and global jurisdictions across the portfolio of assets.

    A solid educational background with a CA or CPA designation
    Extensive experience in tax
    Proficiency in consolidated tax reporting under IFRS
    Knowledge of international tax regimes
    Ability to influence senior management
    Strong understanding of deals, M&A Tax, and PE fund structures
