- Weld/fabricate a variety of equipment and components for hydraulic power units.
- Determine appropriate welding equipment or procedures based on individual job requirements.
- Read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work orders and other written instructions.
- Operate power tools and general welding equipment grinders, gouging and cutting equipment.
- Assemble hydraulic components as required – millwright experience an asset.
- Paint – spray painting of completed units.
- Quality
- Testing and inspection of welds and hydraulic testing of completed units.
- Participate and comply with all required Health & Safety Programs and training.
- Welding certification or Fabrication certification is required, indentured apprentices' will be considered.
- Millwright experience is considered an asset.
- Painting with spray system experience an asset.
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude, experience or certification in other trades an asset.
- Previous supervisory experience will be considered an asset.
