    Description

    Is this role suitable for you?

    • Responsible for implementing and maintaining complete technology solutions for projects supporting Physical and Cloud-based platforms with network integration needs across multiple environments.
    • Define business/technical requirements, development specifications, system performance objectives, and identify system modifications.
    • Work with system architects to transition solutions to steady state by documenting support processes, roadmaps, capacity planning, and maintenance schedules.
    • Maintain industry-standard technologies knowledge with experience in areas such as Software programming (Java, Python), API Scripting, Linux, Windows, VM environments, Google and Azure Cloud concepts, Jenkins pipelines, GIT Tools, Kubernetes, Docker.
    • Application infrastructure and architectures understanding, testing, and code management, along with familiarity with security concepts, protocols, and best practices.
    • Consider the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.
    • Ensure efficient operations in line with Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles while meeting obligations regarding operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
    • Promote a high-performance and inclusive work environment.

      • Do you possess the skills to excel in this role? We are interested in you if you have:

      • 2+ years of professional software development experience.
      • 2+ years of design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, scaling) of new and existing systems.
      • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python).
      • Sound knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, testing, and operations.
      • Preferably a degree in computer science or a related field.
