    Key Responsibilities:

    • Mentor and guide junior engineers
    • Engage with the broader engineering community at Amazon

    A Day in the Life:

    As an SDE II, your journey begins with understanding our existing products and technologies. You'll be immersed in solving complex technical challenges and implementing new features across various tech stacks. Under the mentorship of senior SDEs, you'll design significant portions of our software solution, promote software best practices among junior engineers, and contribute technical insights to influence product decisions. You will take charge of our operational excellence and continuously enhance our software development processes.

    About the Team:

    We are a fresh initiative geared towards revolutionizing the video ad experience on streaming TV platforms. Our primary focus is to collaborate with Amazon's streaming services and third-party streaming TV apps to drive the expansion of video advertising.

    We are looking to onboard professionals in locations such as Toronto, ON, CAN.


    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years of professional software development experience excluding internships
    • 2+ years of design or architecture experience (e.g., design patterns, reliability, scaling)
    • Proficiency in at least one programming language

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Over 3 years of experience in full software development lifecycle, covering coding standards, code reviews, source control, testing, and operations
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
    • Sound knowledge of professional software engineering practices, including coding standards, software architectures, continuous deployments, and operational excellence
