SCOPE


The Site Coordinator works alongside the Assistant Superintendent/Superintendent through all stages of a project, starting from site planning, through shoring, excavation, construction and interior finishing.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise, direct, coach, and train Junior Site Coordinators, Students, and other staff assigned to project
  • Create site specific plans and procedures; ensure the implementation of the Project Safety Program to create a safe work environment throughout the jobsite; adhere to the safety and record keeping requirements; integrate the Project Safety Program in all site
- specific plans and procedures to ensure a safe work environment including JHSC and Site Safety PPE

  • Ensure project materials and workmanship meet the project Quality Standards and Design requirements
  • Obtain necessary information from engineers, designers, inspectors, municipal/provincial authorities, and owners
  • Monitor, maintain and update construction work schedules
  • Tracking log of concrete and rebar orders and placement with Monthly reports
  • Manage site office operations
  • Maintain internal project file structure
  • Manage Site safety supplies including staff PPE (hard hats, safety vests)
  • Manage site supply invoices
  • Issue and track RFI's and SI's
  • Issue purchase orders to site staff and management
  • Support Site Superintendent(s): update/issue steel orders source and place orders for field supplies, mitigate costing for materials and equipment.
  • Issue and PO's to trades/suppliers/consultants for Construction Management team
  • Review and confirm site labour timesheets vs. punch clock timecards; process for sign off
  • Log and track equipment rentals
  • Assist General Site Super & Site Superintendents, sourcing for supplies and equipment
  • Monitoring structure concrete progress
  • Pricing rentals verses purchases/ for various items/ trailers/ construction vehicles/ construction equipment
  • Maintain all company credit cards/ receipts and submittals
  • Coordinate set up for all office meetings
  • Ordering drawings to site
  • Manage Occupancy Documentation filing and submittals to Fire Marshal, City and Consultants
  • Manage Consultants city sign off tracker and Fire marshals sign off tracker
  • Manage Site instruction print offs for site
  • Oversea Trades site information envelope / maintenance / IE
  • SI updates, drawing changes, copies of safety meetings, MOL visits, notifications
  • Responsible for MOL/ safety board updates
  • Manage Orientation binders per trade
  • Manage Hardware receipts / tracker / assisting site superintendent
  • Prepare site delivery slips, return slips
  • Manage hoist log tracker

SKILLS

  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Project.
  • Experience using Procore would be an asset
  • Work inside of a Large Dynamic Team and to be a team player
  • Promote a positive work environment and cooperation amongst trade contractors
  • Maintain effective working relationships with Consultants, Construction Managers, Contractors, and Public Officials


  • Communication

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate information both written and verbally
  • Selfmotivated and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Postsecondary education
  • Diploma, or BSc Degree in Engineering, Construction Coordination, or related field an asset
  • Previous experience overseeing highrise multifamily projects an asset
  • Ability to work under mínimal supervision/direction as well as part of a team, sharing information with others
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
