    Description

    Ash Grove Cement, a CRH company, provides Portland and masonry cements to help build the foundation and infrastructure for the world around us.

    We ship millions of tons of cement from our plants and network of terminals located across North America. Join our team and help Ash Grove build America. The Health and Safety Advisor will report to the Health and Safety Manager at our Mississauga Cement Plant.

    You will be a safety leader at our facility and will be carrying out our plant safety program "See, Stop, Do.

    Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
    # Provide technical and administrative support for OHS department.
    # Maintain OHS, Disability and Training records, files, and databases.
    # Writing health and safety programs and procedures for approval by OHS Manager.
    # Assist in the development and deliver required safety training.
    # Conduct inspections and audits to assure compliance with safety requirements.
    # Knowledge of:
    OH&S Act, WSIA with emphasis on WSIB policies and processes
    5 years OHS work experience or equivalent
    OH&S Undergraduate degree/diploma/certificate preferred
    Develop and leverage effective networks and relationships with others inside and outside of the organization
    Work effectively in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities and rapid change while actively developing one's skills and capabilities
    Working outdoors at varied temperatures and weather conditions
