Description

We are currently looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our Mississauga Office The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the life cycle of products, including managing the transportation of product from origin to destination, ensuring that the level of service is in line with customer expectations, planned costs, and company strategy.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

Determine carrier/freight forwarder based on required service level
Maintain and update internal tracking report used by Project Management, Finance
Support Freight Booking process/Booking Approvals
Prepare freight quotes for ocean, air, and road services
Support in issuing clearance documents to Customs Brokers
Maintain documents specific to Customs Duties refunds and Duty Drawback programs
Prepare Free Trade Certificates
Control logistics costs by reviewing and approving freight bills and Customs entries
Harmonized Tariff Schedule classification
Work closely with Buyers to provide logistics guidance
Communicate with factories at origin to coordinate shipments
Provide updates to customers on shipment status and tracking updates
Liase with Orchard's Receiving Dept. to schedule inbound deliveries
