As our Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager, you'll be leading the charge in our kitchen, and bringing fresh ideas to the table.
Manage weekly inventory assessments to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize food waste.Developing new dishes and refining old favorites, implementing effective methodologies for kitchen operations, including cooking techniques, preparation methods, and kitchen organization.
Train kitchen staff on recipes, cooking techniques, and presentation to meet the standards set by the head chef.Collaborate with the head chef on recipe creation and modification to enhance menu offerings and maintain freshness and quality.
Oversee food costing and pricing strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining quality.Manage food ordering process, including sourcing ingredients, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining relationships.
Create and maintain kitchen staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage while managing labor costs effectively.
Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring a smooth workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Maintain a positive and productive working environment by fostering teamwork, communication, and professional growth among kitchen staff.
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant environment and know your way around Latin American cuisine like the back of your hand.
In-depth knowledge of kitchen best practices, culinary techniques, and flavor profiles.Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff to greatness.
Thrive under pressure and love the challenge of adapting to whatever the kitchen throws your way.
A creative mindset with a passion for developing new menu ideas and refining old ones.
Solid understanding of food cost control, inventory management, and menu engineering.
Experience in food ordering, supplier management, and negotiation.
Proficiency in scheduling and labor management software preferred.
