- Apply engineering calculations to various project challenges to develop complete and competent designs
- Compilation of design packages for construction
- Perform quality reviews of project deliverables
- Authenticate finished designs and deliverables for client construction
- Network with clients and maintain client relationships
- Some travel will be required
- A Bachelor's degree or a Technology diploma in Electrical Engineering, additional engineering backgrounds will be considered
- Five (5) + years of experience in the design and operation of underground secondary networks
- Experience in the design, operation, construction, and maintenance of underground secondary networks
- Exposure to utility standards, CSA, and an understanding of powerline construction techniques
- Ability to work in design teams and is self-motivated to perform assigned tasks, and take the initiative to learn the position
- The ability to lead and direct a team of engineers, designers, and drafters
- Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite
- Eight (8) + years of experience in the design and operation of underground secondary networks
- Prior utility design experience or distribution line work is highly preferred
- Exposure to non-linear powerline design software such as PLS-CADD
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills in the English language to communicate effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
- Managerial and leadership experience is an asset
