    LEGAL ASSISTANT

    FULL-TIME (HYBRID)

    TORONTO

    Our client is a leading national law firm who takes great pride in their client experience. They are hiring for an experienced and talented Legal Assistant to join their Capital Markets & Securities team on a full-time permanent basis.

    The Job

    As a Legal Assistant, you will support lawyers and clients by producing and reviewing documents, photocopying, and maintaining files, as well as other administrative tasks.

    You will also:

    • Perform calendar management duties for lawyers.
    • Coordinate meetings, including room booking and ordering catering.
    • Booking travel arrangements.
    • Conduct conflict checks.
    • Prepare presentations for lawyers.
    • Respond to external phone, mail, or email inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate person.
    • Maintain client information in the firm's database.
    • Track lawyers' hours in the system.
    • Produce billing and credit reports.

    What you bring to the job:

    • A bachelor's degree or diploma in law.
    • At least 3 years experience as a legal assistant or law clerk.
    • At least 2 years experience supporting lawyers in a corporate or securities practice.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
    • Excellent professional communication skills, written and verbal.
    • The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
