What You'll Do:

Step into a leadership role at our construction sites As a skilled Carpenter with Hollyhock Construction, you'll confidently operate heavy power tools such as grinders, concrete saws, jackhammers, cordless power drills, and skilled saws.

With your expertise in reading and interpreting construction drawings and plans, you'll ensure precise measurements and collaborate with site leads for accurate installations.

Safety is our priority, and you'll utilize basic tools and personal protective equipment to maintain a secure and efficient work environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong English language skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Minimum 5 to 8+ years of construction experience in general carpentry and finishing carpentry
Technical knowledge of construction practices, including reading and interpreting drawings and plans
Excellent problemsolving skills
High level of safety awareness
Aptitude to learn new processes and procedures under lean construction principles
Ready to lead a site construction team, providing clear instructions and orientation
Wellorganized and respectful of site cleanliness
Selfinitiative and adaptability to changing project needs
Ability to commute to job sites within a reasonable distance
Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs
Experienced in Residential Construction and Commercial renovations
Red Seal Certification in carpentry or a combination of several completed levels of carpentry in apprenticeship and considerable years of experience
Experienced in finishing carpentry and concrete, including ICF installation

Mandatory Requirements:

Legally entitled to work in Canada: Valid work permit, Permanent Resident or Citizen
Valid Class 5F driver's license
Access to a reliable vehicle for transportation to and from job sites. Our office is not located close to a bus stop or bus service
Must have minimum Personal Protective Equipment (hardhat, steeltoe boots, safety glasses, and appropriate construction site work clothing)
