    Role Description

    QuadReal is on the lookout for a Senior Analyst in Internal Audit who will report to the Internal Audit Director. This pivotal role involves overseeing, steering, and executing impactful internal audit projects, internal control assignments, and various risk assurance tasks within the organization.

    The ideal candidate should possess a keen business sense, impeccable attention to detail, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the capacity to juggle multiple tasks to meet stringent deadlines. The Internal Audit and Risk teams play a vital role in delivering precise, timely insights and recommendations to enhance QuadReal's governance, risk management, and overall control.


    Responsibilities

    • Lead and supervise the execution of financial, operational, or compliance audits across the Company's business units, encompassing planning, risk assessment, testing procedures, sampling methodology, interviews with process owners, and management meetings.
    • Articulate and present audit findings and improvement suggestions to auditees and management, both verbally and in writing.
    • Enhance internal audit practices, incorporating data analytics, identifying key risk indicators for continuous monitoring, and devising dashboard reporting for high-volume transactions.
    • Engage in efficiency projects focused on internal control and risk management enhancements to elevate the assurance level.
    • Contribute to formulating the annual internal audit plan and compiling quarterly Audit Committee reports.
    • Keep abreast of current and emerging risks, trends, and opportunities that impact the organization and actively share insights with the team to fortify their knowledge base.

    Other responsibilities:

    As a part of the integrated risk, compliance, and internal audit function, the Senior Analyst, Internal Audit, might also participate in:

    • Developing or refining privacy and AML compliance programs and operational procedures manuals
    • Documenting operational and process-level risks associated with key business processes and aligning them with relevant controls


    Experience

    • 5+ years of experience in risk consulting, business audit, risk management, or finance, or any other professional discipline (experience at Big 4 firms is advantageous)
    • Prior familiarity with Workiva is beneficial
    • Proficiency with data analytic tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Python, ACL, IDEA)
    • Experience in auditing specialized topics like privacy, AML, and other compliance-related audits is preferred
    • Prior exposure to the real estate sector is an asset

    Education and Qualifications

    • Professional certifications in auditing and/or accounting (e.g., CPA/CIA/CFE/CISA) are preferred
    • A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or a Master of Business Administration

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Sound business acumen, enabling a seamless connection between business strategy, risks, and control environment, coupled with expertise in risk, control, and governance frameworks
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
    • Strong leadership skills demonstrated through leading by example, maintaining work quality accountability, and offering regular guidance to junior team members
    • Collaborative, proactive, detail-oriented, and diligent team player
    • Proficient in project management, capable of handling and prioritizing multiple assignments effectively
    • Proven ability to solve problems with a consultative approach and adeptness in change management
