The Institute for Mental Health Policy Research, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), is seeking one full time, contract (12 months) Research Coordinator.

The Research Coordinator will work collaboratively as part of a team of researchers of the Ontario Canadian Research Initiative in Substance Misuse (CRISM) Node Team.

As one of the five Nodes across Canada, the Ontario CRISM Node conducts evidence-based research to improve interventions and systems for people who use substances and focuses on research on prevention and treatment interventions for substance misuse (primarily illicit drugs and non-medical use of pharmaceutical drugs), and knowledge translation of related research and evidence.

The Research Coordinator will support a longer-term evaluation, which is evaluating British Columbia's new policy on the decriminalization of illicit substances for personal possession.

To facilitate this project, the research coordinator will be responsible for supporting research activities of sub-projects, organizing and managing meetings among stakeholder and working groups, and working with the research team to develop and implement knowledge exchange activities.


Specifically, the research coordinator will be required to:

  • Directly report to the Decriminalization Evaluation Manager and OCRINT Node Manager
  • Support OCRINT in coordinating subprojects within the overarching evaluation project
  • Perform daytoday administrative duties and research activities across research projects and groups
  • Conduct research regarding the decriminalization of illicit substances (e.g., literature searches, reviews, etc.)
  • Engage in knowledge translation activities (e.g., creating presentations, infographics, etc.)
  • Engage in collaboration between researchers, policy makers, service providers, and those with lived experience
  • Organize and participate in conference calls between stakeholders and research working groups
  • Conduct qualitative interviews and support analyses for subprojects
  • Conduct analysis and results writing for related publications and reports

Qualifications:


Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Please Note:
This full-time, contract (12 months) position is part of the OPSEU Bargaining Unit.


Salary Range:
$ $45.31 per hour
