Acts as the engineering/design authority on specialized projects or systems related to Critical Minerals R&D, including:
Determines approaches to resolve problems and meet project objectives.
Advises clients on their proposals, discusses design issues and specifications with NRCan management, with contractors and consulting engineers, and with other departments, universities, industry and private organizations within and outside Canada, if applicable.
Interacts with industry, research and development organizations to maintain an awareness of emerging engineering issues related to Critical Minerals R&D; also interacts with other departments and contracting firms involved in joint projects.
Evaluates research, development and demonstration project proposals related to Critical Minerals R&D to determine technical feasibility, technology readiness level, environmental performance, and strategic impact.
