    360 Kids are looking for a Team Lead to lead, execute and oversee the day to day operations of our Youth Employment Programs.

    Team Lead duties include specific focus on Every Bite Matters (EBM) and New market Youth HUB which includes our 360°kids commercial training kitchen.

    Every Bite Matters is a culinary focused training and social inclusion employment program that addresses the many needs within the community; it is a food industry job training program, providing unemployed and out of school youth with multiple barriers to employment the skills and opportunities to successfully enter this sector of the working world.

    Further, Every Bite Matters addresses social isolation many in the elderly population are facing, providing opportunities for youth and seniors to connect over a nutritious meal.

    Every Bite Matters will educate both populations on healthy eating, nutrition and Canada's Food Guide.

    Leadership and direction of a diverse staff team including Employment Counsellors and Social Innovation Counsellors.
    Develop programming/services in accordance with 360°kids' Strategic Plan and funding expectations.
    Accountable for sound financial management and controls of the operational budget.
    Analyze program evaluation results, ensure funder outcomes are met/exceeded, ensure program integrity while preparing reporting for management, executive, board and funders
    Ensures key relationships with community partners and others having impact on the program.
    Develop and facilitate/encourage an organizational culture conducive to the achievement of 360°kids' goals and objectives.
    Accountable for daily operation of a commercial training kitchen.

    Oversee Food Services standards and ensure quality standards in cooking methods, presentation techniques, portion control and retention of nutrients.

    Oversee the culinary training activities; minimize waste and maintain control over menus, budgeting and cost control of food, preparation and supervision of the preparation and cooking of all food items, ensure menu meets needs of the elderly with nutritious, safe, appealing, and properly flavored food.

    Foster and maintain relationships with partnering seniors' organizations (i.e. HYI, CHATS).
    Assist in the development and co-facilitation of appropriate program materials for vulnerable youth.
    Support determinations of participant eligibility and makes recommendations based on youth needs.
    Act as a positive role model, mentor, and support for youth as they learn new skills.
    Co-ordinate youth action plan activities, monitor progress, and keep client case notes.
    Build a positive referral base with community partners, including marketing and outreach to employers and partners.
    Assist youth in accessing various community programs as needed.
    liaise with employers, youth, and other team members regarding progress.
    Assist youth to access community programs and provide resources, informal counseling, referrals and advocacy services within their community.
    In the event of a crisis or critical incident, immediately reports to appropriate level.
    Follow appropriate policies and procedures of 360°kids.

    Ensure that the program operates in line with 360°kids' mission, vision and values and activities comply with applicable standards and laws.

    Complete all mandatory recording and reporting including daily documentation and statistical data collection. Participates in regular supervision meetings and performance appraisal meetings on a semiannual basis. Attends training workshops and relevant conferences that pertain to the role.
    Work in 360°kids' location at Home Base, Richmond Hill , Community HUB, 130 Davis Drive, New market and a variety of public locations

    Contact with at risk and homeless youth, which may include working under unpredictable circumstances and with potentially challenging clients.

    Contact with seniors in the community, which may include working under unpredictable circumstances and with potentially challenging clients.
    Post-secondary education in Social Services required
    Post-secondary education in Food Services Coordination, Nutrition, Health Sciences or a related field an asset
    Minimum of two (2) years direct program delivery experience to vulnerable youth required
    Experience working in a commercial kitchen environment, preferably including responsibility for menu plans, budgeting, ordering, and training of prep workers an asset

    Demonstrated experience working with street involved youth and awareness of homeless, mental health, abuse, and addiction issues youth may face.

    Ability to make decisions and work independently, strong personal ethics, integrity, reliable, time management and organization skills.
    Must possess excellent communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills that promote positive team building, negotiation and conflict resolution.
    Broad knowledge of community resources and the ability to strongly advocate for clients and professional referrals.
    'Current First Aid/CPR certification, current vulnerable sector screening (criminal background check), car and valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract and proof of $2,000,000 vehicle liability insurance
