    Salary Range: $ - $ per hour
    Hours: 06:00-14:00; 06:30-14:30; 07:00-15:00 Monday to Friday; 06:00-14:00; 11:00-19:00 Saturday, Sunday and Statutory Holidays, Must be available to work every second weekend

    As a key member of the Nutrition Services Department, the Food Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing staff in areas such as Patient Tray Assembly, Ware Washing, and other Nutrition Service Department responsibilities. The supervisor ensures the smooth operation of the University Center and Toronto General Hospital, maintains food and equipment supplies, upholds safety and cleanliness standards, and manages inventory control efficiently. Strong communication, decision-making, and organizational skills are essential to excel in this role.

    Qualifications

    • Graduate of an approved Food and Nutrition Management Program at a Community College or University required
    • Membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management or related professional Food Service Association required
    • Completion of a Food Handler Certification Program
    • Minimum Two (2) years of recent Food Service Supervisory experience required
    • Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, food safety, therapeutic diets, and allergies preferred
    • Computer literacy using Microsoft Office
    • Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, organizational, time management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
    • Ability to prioritize effectively to meet daily requirements and deadlines
    • Knowledge of CBORD computer program preferred
    • Previous experience in a healthcare and unionized environment preferred
