    Altus Group is currently seeking a Candidate in the position of Lease Analyst and Reporting Specialist based out of our Toronto office to join our Corporate Real Estate team. This role will be instrumental in supporting the administration of our real estate portfolio and provide key insights into its performance as well as supporting the broader CRE team on a variety of initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and abstract office, storage leases and ancillary lease documents into lease administration and management software, esponsible for data integrity and accuracy at all times.
  • Prepare variety of standard and customized financial and critical date reports from system, to support strategic portfolio planning and annual budgeting process.
  • Act as primary contact for lease administration platform for CRE and corporate finance teams.
  • Manage and prepare invoices for subleases. Work with landlords, property managers and subtenants to address lease payments, resolve property matters.
  • Review annual reconciliation statements for OPEX and CAM charges; work directly with property managers to validate costs and ensure calculations adhere to lease terms.
  • Review Rent and OPEX invoices for accuracy for approval and payment.
  • Review and process Estoppel Certificates, Landlord Notices, other Lease ancillary documentation.
  • Work closely with corporate Finance and Accounting teams to validate and provide rent payment information.
  • Manage and report on flex office agreements and memberships; support Director of CRE with set up of flex office agreements, where required.
  • Perform general administration duties and support the broader corporate real estate team on various initiatives and projects.
  • Key Requirements:

  • College or university degree in Real Estate Finance, Property Accounting or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial lease administration is required.
  • Experience abstracting leases and working with lease management / administration software
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite particularly with Excel.
  • A self-starter who is resourceful and creative, and a real team player, eager to both help and learn from others.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and work well under pressure, diligent with a keen eye for detail, comfortable challenging norms and asking questions.
  • Works well independently with minimal supervision
