This posting will be used to fill 1 permanent full-time positions working 75 bi-weekly. It will establish a 12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions.

Who we are
The Yukon's Emergency Medical Services (YEMS) team delivers a wide scope of pre-hospital care. We deliver medical interventions, treatments, and quality care in every corner of the Yukon. Leadership, dedication, and partnership guides our work.
This opportunity
This position supervises and provides leadership to the community EMS operations team to ensure effective and efficient operational functioning of Yukon Community Emergency Medical Services (EMS) across 15 rural stations. This includes implementing procedures to enhance performance and to ensure that the program area meets established service goals and objectives. Community operations includes both volunteer and employee ground ambulance operations. The position is required to maintain the appropriate professional certification and skills as at the time of their initial hire (PCP, ACP, CCP, etc.).

Conditions of employment
You must meet the following conditions before being hired, or within the time frame noted.
Proof of valid certificate and licence from a paramedic governing body in Canada without conditions or restrictions, TB medical clearance; RCMP check with vulnerable sector check; and class 4 Yukon driver's license (or equivalent)
Job requirements
This job requires you to perform, and/or be exposed to, the following:
shift work, including weekends and standby, regular travel to the communities, wearing a uniform. physical effort, hazards, and discomfort as specified within the job description including exposure to high stress, sensitive situations, verbally and physically aggressive behaviour.
