    Data Architect

    Reporting to the Team Lead of Business Intelligence and Analytics, you will deliverYou have a passion for problem solving and can articulate a business problem into a technical one and can use, ETL/ELT tools (specifically DataStage), cloud platforms (Azure/Snowflake), and data visualization (Power BI). This is a full-time, 18 month temporary position.

    Here is what a typical day looks like

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Design and develop scalable, secure, and performant data architectures leveraging cloud platforms (Azure/Snowflake).
  • Utilize DataStage to design and implement complex data pipelines for data integration, transformation, and loading.
  • Develop and maintain data models that adhere to best practices and optimize data storage and retrieval.
  • Design and develop dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide self-service analytics capabilities to business users.
  • Implement data governance practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data warehousing, cloud platforms, and data visualization tools.
  • Document data architectures, data models, and ETL processes.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Data Architect or related role.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing data architectures for enterprise-scale applications.
  • Expertise in data modeling concepts and methodologies (e.g., Kimball methodology).
  • In-depth knowledge of ETL/ELT tools, specifically DataStage.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Snowflake.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

    • Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours/week - 18 month temporary position

    Location: Remote in Canada

    Salary Range: $70,00 - $90,000
