    Description

    What you'll do:

    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
    • Design and develop scalable, secure, and performant data architectures leveraging cloud platforms (Azure/Snowflake).
    • Utilize DataStage to design and implement complex data pipelines for data integration, transformation, and loading.
    • Develop and maintain data models that adhere to best practices and optimize data storage and retrieval.
    • Design and develop dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide self-service analytics capabilities to business users.
    • Implement data governance practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
    • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data warehousing, cloud platforms, and data visualization tools.
    • Document data architectures, data models, and ETL processes.

    The expertise you possess:

    • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Data Architect or similar role.
    • Proven track record in designing and implementing data architectures for large-scale applications.
    • Expertise in data modeling concepts and methodologies (e.g., Kimball methodology).
    • In-depth knowledge of ETL/ELT tools, particularly DataStage.
    • Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or Snowflake.
    • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI.
    • Solid grasp of data governance principles and best practices.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

    Position Details:
    Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours/week - 18 month temporary position
    Location: Remote in Canada
    Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
