We're thrilled to announce an immediate opening for a Junior Environmental Field Technician. In this role, your key focus will be hands-on fieldwork while strictly adhering to Flowlink's comprehensive Quality Assurance Program.Expect to spend the majority of your time outdoors, traveling regularly to project sites.
You'll need to hold a valid Class 5 driver's license with an excellent driving record and have access to your own vehicle.
You will need to be prepared for an early (no later than 7:30 am) start and remain flexible regarding potential overtime to meet the needs of our projects.
We will provide comprehensive on-the-job training to support you in your responsibilities.Your role will involve working autonomously on various field projects and reporting, with the backing of our Operations Supervisor and the rest of our collaborative Field Service Team.
Field Work :
Conduct fieldwork, involving the on-site maintenance of real-time water quality monitoring equipment. This will require travel to installation sites primarily within the Lower Mainland, with occasional fieldwork in other regions. Work environments may encompass natural streams, construction sites, and industrial facilities.
Specialized Equipment and Software : Utilize specialized field equipment and software for data collection and analysis.
Quality Assurance Documentation :
Complete Quality Assurance (QA) documentation as required by Company's policies.
Standard Operating & Quality Assurance Processes : Strictly abide by the existing standard operating procedures, QA protocols and processes, collaborate with the team to develop new or enhance existing Quality Assurance processes.
Health and Safety Compliance : Adhere to the Health and Safety program, follow Standard Operating Procedures, engage in team communication processes, and handle basic administrative tasks.
Project Management:
Assume responsibility for your assigned projects, including communications with the on-site project team and internally.
This may include involvement in product development, project coordination, research and development (R&D).

Attention to detail is paramount as we work with the mission-critical application impacting the environment and multiple stakeholders.This role is considered a junior position within the organization, and comprehensive training will be provided; Post-secondary graduate: diploma, certificate, or Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, or a relevant field of study, for example Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Environmental Technology, Agrology, Geology, Engineering, etc.

A valid Class 5 driver's license with a good driving record, including own vehicle;
Eligibility for professional certification is an asset.
00 per hour, determined by the applicable skill proficiency levels outlined in our Field Technician Scorecard. Additionally, we offer comprehensive extended health benefits through a private benefit plan that covers 100% of the costs.
