Assembler Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Perform all operations related to production, assembly and fabrication of mechanical components.
  • Perform mechanical assembly, and subassemblies.
  • Ensure all parts are made to engineering drawings and are suitable for final assembly.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as assembler with 2 to 3 years of experience
  • Experience with material handling equipment
  • Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
  • Ability in using tools (e.g. power tools, drills, grinders, torque wrenches measuring devices)
  • Good understanding of quality control principles
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work closely with a team of other assemblers/fabricators.
  • Personal tools/toolbox will be required, personal tools damaged on the job will be replaced by the Supervisor.
  • Crane Certification/Forklift Certification (not required but is a plus) in house training will be provided.
  • Welding (not required but is a plus)

Working Conditions:


  • 40 hours a week, day shift
  • Overtime may be required
  • PPE will be provided

Physical Requirements:


  • Lifting required, generally between 5Ibs and 30Ibs, all items over 40Ibs will be done by crane.
