Responsibilities/Duties:

Assists senior technicians by reviewing job work orders, coordinating schedule with customers, gathering equipment, supplies and tools
Shadows installs, service equipment for fire alarm/sprinkler systems by running and pulling wiring, connecting devices, programming, calibrating and testing equipment
Learn and adhere to all codes, regulations and standards while regularly updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
Keeps supplies ready by checking inventory, placing orders and verifying receipts
Documents installation and maintains records
Maintains customer rapport by resolving concerns and answering questions
Maintains a safe and secure work environment by following safety practices and company policies
Proactively takes ownership to accomplish new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to the job and company

Skills/Qualifications:

Valid driver's license with use of a personal vehicle
Postsecondary education in fire protection or related field considered an asset
Knowledge of related codes and standards including CAN/ULC S53604, CAN/ULC S53704 & NFPA13 considered an asset
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong ability to troubleshoot and problemsolve
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate installation and maintenance
Strong ability to work well with team members or unsupervised within a flexible work environment
Walk, stand, bend, stoop and/or lifting up to 50lbs as required
Climb ladders, work from man lifts and tolerate heights as required

Salary:
From $20.00 per hour
