Reporting to the North American Head Consumer Health Commercial Quality, the CQ Manager will have responsibility for Quality and Compliance oversight of the Canadian Consumer Distribution Center, the Canadian Trade Compliance business and the Commercial Quality Supplier Lifecycle End to End Management.

This position will require strong internal and external collaboration, with partners in plan, source, make and deliver as well as marketing, sales, planning, trade customization vendors, and others.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for Quality & Compliance Oversight for the Canadian Consumer Distribution Center's daily issues/inquires via regular meetings, onsite visits, audits, and Quality System reviews. Ensure metrics are tracked to facilitate the review of ongoing quality performance. Partner with the Deliver operations leadership team and 3PL service providers
  • Responsible for Quality & Compliance Oversight for the Trade Customization business in Canada. Partner with the Trade Customization and Project Management Office teams, as well as 3PL service providers.
  • Responsible for Quality & Compliance Oversight for the Commercial Quality Supplier Lifecycle Management including selection, qualification, maintenance, and disengagement including those associated with consumer promotion and trial initiatives. Partner with Marketing and Sales to support new consumer and customer opportunities including promotions, sampling and eCommerce.
  • Manages regulatory inspections and compliance activities by performing the following duties personally or through direct reports. Represents the company during Health Canada inspections. Manages regulatory inspections and external audits via preparation, hosting, audit responds and implementing corrective actions as appropriate.
  • Leads a team with 2 direct reports to cultivate an environment of diversity, equity, inclusion, teamwork, development, and continuous improvement.
  • Approve Investigations, CAPA's, Escalations, Recalls, Returns, Refusals, Documents, Specifications, and Change Controls, as required.
  • Maintain sound knowledge of Government GMP regulations and Corporate Standards and Policies affecting the fabrication, packaging, testing of products procured by J&J Group of Consumer Companies.

Qualifications:


Education:

Minimum Bachelor or equivalent of Science Degree in life sciences, chemistry or related science discipline


Experience and Skills:


Required:


  • Minimum of 810 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry within Quality Assurance or Manufacturing, with previous exposure to management and administrative responsibilities; previous supervisory experience required
  • Knowledge of all elements of the Quality System
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred:

Knowledge of Process Excellence and Project Management
