    Job Overview

    Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, as the Regional HR Business Partner you will provide support in the areas of HR management and services to facilitate business units in achieving operational efficiency and productivity.

    Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's mid-range plans, culture and competition.
  • Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Conducting recurring meetings with respective business units.
  • Acting as an employee champion and change agent. Providing HR policy guidance and interpretation. Collaborating with Business Unit Managers to identify applicable training for employees.
  • Recruiting new hires, conducting interviews, and make short list recommendations.
  • Ensuring onboarding procedures are completed including orientations.
  • Conducting exit interviews for resignations and retirements.
  • Providing day-to-day performance management guidance to middle management.
  • Supporting the Senior HR Business Partner with restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.

  • Essential Requirements

  • Diploma, Certificate or Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management or Commerce.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Human Resources Business Partner, Generalist or similar role.
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
  • Proficient using office equipment, Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams and PowerPoint) and HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now or similar).
  • Preferred Requirements

  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) Designation or working towards is preferred.

  • Work Conditions

    You primarily work in an office setting during regular business hours. Travel to sites within Edmonton is required on a frequent basis. Overtime may occasionally be required.
