As the Manager, Cybersecurity Architecture at Canadian Tire will be responsible for leading a team that provides the on-going planning and design to ensure a secure business environment for the enterprise.


What you'll do

  • Manage the delivery of Cybersecurity Architecture services across cybersecurity and corporate initiatives.
  • Lead the team in effectively translating into action the Enterprise Cybersecurity Architecture strategy.
  • Lead and contribute to the development of architecture patterns for Cybersecurity that lead the adoption of cybersecurity technologies.
  • Work with the Enterprise Architecture team on alignment of projects with the Cybersecurity strategy for Canadian Tire.
  • Lead the security evaluation of vendor platforms for consumption by CTC and determine business case metrics for the technology review board.
  • Manage the team's involvement in business projects ensuring security architecture solution building blocks for analysis of current state technologies that are approved for use
  • Following the TOGAF methodology, provide oversight and coordination of security within projects.
  • Participate in project delivery in an Agile environment with associated associated toolsets such as Jira and bitbucket.

  • A minimum of 4+ years directly related progressive experience cybersecurity, some PCI compliance and understanding of risk management frameworks with a background in system and network security engineering
  • Broad background (preferred 3+ years in addition to cybersecurity) in technology design, implementation and delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and develop business requirements and recommend security solutions to meet business objectives
  • Experience in Azure cloud computing technologies (or AWS or Google), infrastructure and platformasaservice, as well as public, private and hybrid architectures
  • Ability to accurately scope security technology requirements and objectives as well as effort and difficulty of project tasks
  • Understanding of IT security best practices and regulations such as: ISO 17799, PCI, Sarbane-Oxley/C198, HIPA compliance, CEO/CFO certification
  • Experience with Identity and Access management and the supporting technologies such as CA Technologies, BeyondTrust, and RSA
  • Understanding of SSO technologies such as OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, Kerberos, Open ID Connect, Jason Web Tokens (JWT)
  • Familiarity with API security and what best practices are part of securing APIs
  • University or College degree in computer science, information assurance, MIS or related field, or equivalent
  • Industry recognized certifications for such as CISSP, CEH, CCSE, CCSP would be an asset
