    Description
    Truck/Transport and Trailer Mechanic$2,000 Sign-On Bonus
    National Tank Services, a division of Trimac Transportation, is looking for a Journeyman Mechanic for our team in Kamloops, BC. We value hard work, perseverance, and dedication and looking for people who want to advance their careers. We offer competitive compensation, benefits, and a pension program.

    Pay:
    • Journeyman Truck Mechanic starting wage $42.92 /per hour, based on 40 hours per week
    • Shift premiums available: $2.00 for weekends, $2.00 for afternoon shifts, $2.50 graveyard, $2.00 for lead hands
    • $.50 for CVI ticket
    • $2,000 Sign-On Bonus ($1,000 paid after 90 days, $1,000 paid after 120 days)
    • Relocation Incentive Offered
    Shift/Hours:
    • Rotating shift: 8 or 10-hour shifts available
    • Monday - Friday 7:00 am- 3:30 pm
    • (different shift options available to accommodate if necessary)
    Benefits:

    About the Position:
    • Performs trailer repair- preventative maintenance, electrical work, brakes, and suspension.
    • Performs tractor repair- preventative maintenance,electrical work, brakes, suspension, engine diagnostics, general running repairs; PTO.
    • Owns basic tools required for the position.
    Responsibilities:
    • Professionally maintain equipment.
    • Follow policies & procedures.
    • Work safely, using directed PPE.
    • Complete tasks in a timely fashion as per the Standard Repair Time Guidelines.
    • Maintain fleet equipment.
    • Drive and Shunt equipment.
    Skills:
    • Operation of hand tools.
    • Operation of air tools.
    • Strong and reliable work ethic.
    • Positive attitude and job performance.
    Requirements:
    • Training to obtain Journeyman Red Seal status.
    • May work above shoulder level with power and /or hand tools weighing 15 pounds or less and in confined spaces.
    • Must meet the physical requirements of the position and have mobility, vision, hearing, sense of smell, and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties performed.
    • May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift, and carry items weighing 50 lbs. or less.
    • Must be willing and able to work at heights up to 15 feet.
    Educational Requirements:
    • Grade 12 or equivalent
