    Job Summary

    At Mad Science & Imagine Arts Academy we have a great time. Work on rockets, lasers, dry ice, and help kids make slime. You will motivate young scientists with our engaging activities that showcase the essence of science.

    We are in search of enthusiastic and engaging staff to lead Mad Science Parties and After-School Programs for both Mad Science & Imagine Arts Academy.

    If you want a job that's EXCITING and offers valuable EXPERIENCE, Mad Science & Imagine Arts Academy is the place to be! You will present captivating science demonstrations at schools, libraries, camps, and homes, leaving your audience amazed.

    We provide training, equipment, and manage all the bookings and schedules. Your role is to have a blast with the kids.

    After-School Programs take place after school hours, featuring one-hour sessions in schools and community centers.

    Availability on weekends is a must for our Birthday Party Performers.

    This is a part-time position ideal for someone with a flexible schedule who can seize various opportunities when given ample notice.

    Compensation is per session, not per hour. For instance, for a one-hour class, you are expected to be onsite 15 minutes before and after the program for setup and cleanup. The session pays $42 in total, with additional compensation for travel.

    Requirements:

    • An enthusiastic and dynamic personality
    • Enjoy performing in front of an audience
    • Experience with children aged 4-12
    • Some background in theater is advantageous
    • Reliable transportation is a must
    • A cell phone
    • Strong verbal communication skills
    • Able to lift up to 20 lbs
    • High energy levels
    • All applicants must undergo a Vulnerable Sector Screening upon hiring
