We are currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to help us find the best and brightest to join our community.


Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, job specifications and desired qualifications.
  • Participate in exit interviews.
  • Write job descriptions and ensure they are updating annually.
  • Manage the job description and job posting database.
  • Lead the recruitment initiative to create partnerships and develop a recruitment pipeline.
  • Participate in recruitment efforts, such as job postings, job fairs, and social media content.
  • Maintain and leverage the full capability of the applicant tracking system to facilitate an effective recruitment process and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with the tracking and analysis of recruitment metrics and expenses to provide business insights for decisionmaking.
  • Administer background checks, including criminal records checks, ID verification and reference checks.
  • Lead the onboarding and offboarding activities to ensure correct completion of tasks and documents.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR functions and performs other related duties as required.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • In depth knowledge of current hiring trends.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative and recruitment search management skills, including the ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and be held accountable for results.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recruitment best practices, applicable laws, regulations, employment equity.
  • Understanding of immigration laws an asset.
  • Ability to deal with confidential matters with tact and discretion.

Education and Experience

  • 35 years' experience in recruitment or talent acquisition.
  • Postsecondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working in a multiprovincial environment an asset.
