    About the Job:

    • The Registered Nurse:
      • Works in different clinical settings and is accountable for assessing, planning, executing and assessing client care
      • Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team
      • Ensures client-centered care by supporting clients and families adapt to evolving healthcare needs
      • Demonstrates specialized knowledge and bases practice on nursing and related sciences
    • This is a RELIEF FULL-TIME OPPORTUNITY until August 16, 2024, or the return of the incumbent.
    • Shifts will include scheduled days and nights; rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours.
    • About this location/unit:

      • Located in Vernon, between Kelowna and Kamloops, VJH offers services such as core physician specialties, 24-hour emergency and trauma care, acute and obstetrical services.

    • Level 7:

      • Level 7 Acute Medical, Rehab and Palliative Care unit comprises 28 beds focusing on acute medicine, rehabilitation, and palliative care.

      The RNs and LPNs work together with Physicians, Physiotherapy, OT, Social Work, Rehab Assistants, and Palliative Care Network to provide safe and compassionate care to patients and caregivers during their hospital stay and transition home.
