    Description
    Are you looking for a challenging new opportunity? We're looking for a Electrical Systems Responsible Engineer to help prepare simple plans, designs, calculations, costs and bills of material, in accordance with established codes, standards, drawings or other specifications such as reporting, forecasting, analyzing, assessing and interpreting information relating to class 4 and class 3 electrical systems. Does the idea of contributing to the creation and maintenance of condition assessments and asset management plans appeal to you? If so, this may be the role for you What you will be doing
    • Identifying deficiencies and their associated risk as well as opportunities for optimization and their potential rewards
    • Recommending actions to take to work with operations to continuously monitor both condition and performance of electrical systems
    • Executing the actions and communicate the resulting knowledge to appropriate stakeholders
    • Defining requirements of new construction or existing building/ or system overhaul
    • Creating Client Requirements Documents
    • Creating Scope of Work documents and Design guide updates
    • Reviewing designs and develop maintenance procedures
    • Developing System Performance Monitoring Plans and System Health Reports.
    • Working with regulatory and program authorities (ESA, OSH) to ensure that systems are configured and maintained per regulation
    • Using internal process to maintain infrastructure configuration management (ECC, IWC etc.)
    What we are looking for:
    • Bachelors (Honour) in Electrical Engineering from a university of recognized standing; or membership in an engineering professional organization authorized by statute to establish qualification in that organization.
    • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in the province of Ontario, or eligible to apply for P.Eng
    • Relevant experience with electrical power systems design, operation and maintenance is an asset.
    • Previous experience with high voltage transmission networks and transformer stations would be an asset.
    • Project management experience would be an asset

    • Electrical Safety Standards applicable to Canadian and Ontario conventional electrical installations and Canadian nuclear facilities.
    • P.Eng licence is not required but would be an asset
    Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom.     Location of Work - Hybrid
    • This role is based out of CNL's Chalk River site, however, subject to the terms of this agreement, the primary work location will be remote. The role will require some regular and frequent attendance at the Chalk River site. The schedule and frequency will be determined by discussions with the manager as well as internal client and project needs. CNL may require travel from time to time, as necessary.
