    Role & Responsibilities:
    The Project Manager, ensures that specific projects performed by their portfolio are planned, executed, and reported in accordance with policies, procedures, and project management office processes to meet Customer requirements. The Project Manager's specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Ensure safety is paramount in all activities.
    • Manages a high-risk portfolio of projects of critical significance, characterized as multi-year in duration and involving a significant financial commitment (typically >$15M annually)
    • Manages the collective and individual performance of an integrated project team, (typically more than 25 staff) through the establishment of project-related performance objectives, and the provision of both formal and informal performance feedback (appraisal) mentoring and guidance to ensure project(s) success.
    • Defines roles and responsibilities, and manages performance, including discipline, appraisals, and merit allocations. Provides constructive feedback including disciplinary action if required or the termination/re-negotiation of external contracts.
    • Authorizes project expenditures and procurement requisitions, e.g., purchase orders, invoices, and expense claims within higher limits of authority.
    • Using extensive knowledge of business and management principles, manages all aspects of project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation, through discussions with internal clients to define the scope of the project, deliverables, and timing. Builds and sustains large project teams and sets priorities/clarifies goals.
    • Serving as Responsible Manager for the projects and technical operational upgrades.
    • Responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering the projects from the conceptual stages through planning, engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, and project closeout.
    • Responsible for coordinating with other functional managers (Engineering, Safety & Licensing, Procurement, QA, Planning and Control, Construction/Installation) to ensure that functional resource requirements are planned in accordance with Program delivery requirements, and that Program-specific aspects of functional resources are implemented.
    • Ensuring proper implementation of, and monitor the performance of, the Operations Technical Safety Management Programs which include Conduct of Operations, Maintenance Program, Hoisting and Rigging Program, and Emergency Management Program.
    • Motivates project team staff to deliver quality results on time and on budget, and coaches/mentors others for success.
    • Participates in management team meetings related to project performance, priorities, and staffing.
    • Secures external and internal resources to execute the project.
    • Coordinating with Senior Management and subcontractors.
    • Ensuring that applicable Company-wide procedures, operating instructions, and project-specific processes, procedures, and tools are applied to the planning, execution, and control of projects within the Project, and that their application is subject to periodic review for compliance and effectiveness.
    • Implementing the Waste Operations' QA Manual within the Program, ensuring that project-specific QA Plans/Checklists are prepared, and establishing objectives for quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction across the Program.
    • Monitoring and reporting overall progress of projects within the Program, conducting reviews to verify outputs are aligned with plans, while ensuring that significant variances and trends are investigated.
    • Knowledgeable in Engineering, Safety & Licensing, Procurement, QA, Planning and Control, Construction/Installation, and applicable business systems to ensure that Program-specific aspects of functional resources are implemented.
    • Establishing and maintaining a strong and effective customer relationship.
    • Establishing a safe work environment and improve the safety culture in this organization.
    • Assuring all safety management programs are followed and appraise the overall nuclear safety on projects.
    Qualifications / Requirements:
    • The Project Manager has a degree from an accredited university in a discipline relevant to the nuclear industry (i.e., engineering or sciences) or project management (i.e., business or commerce); typically, has achieved PMP or AACE certification.
    • 5-10 years of nuclear industry relevant experience or equivalent.
    • The Project Manager has years of progressively responsible project experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience which includes an excellent track record for leading large projects to successful conclusion.
    • The Project Manager has an established track record for project delivery and demonstrated leadership, regulatory and company requirements including Operations and Maintenance.
    • Must be self-motivated and flexible relative to work assignments; possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to interface with peer's other company organizations and Senior Management.
    • Extensive knowledge of processes related to strategic planning, human resources, and the management of people. Strong general management skills, including planning, budgeting, resourcing, time management, negotiation skills, contract management and administration, and progress reporting for an executive audience.
