- Assist in the analysis of drawings, specifications, and requirements from both internal/external customers.
- Assist in the definition of the simulator equipment configuration, and produce equipment lists, wiring diagrams, and electrical system schematics required to stimulate this equipment in a simulation environment.
- Participate in design activities between engineering groups as well as manufacturing.
- Define and prepare technical documentation and drawings for simulated panels/instruments.
- Support third-party suppliers and vendors.
- Participate in technical and conformance evaluations for simulated panels/instruments.
- Participate in requirement and design reviews (PDRs, CDRs).
- Participate in estimates.
- Provide technical solutions to meet project requirements.
- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering concepts.
- Good working knowledge of CAD systems and word processing/spreadsheet software.
- Good technical writing and communication skills.
- Experience with electrical, avionic, and power systems.
- Experience with simulated panel and instrument interfaces.
- Experience with electrical signal distribution/interconnection technology, interface packaging, and power supply/distribution.
- Manage priorities in the context of multiple and complex project deliveries.
- Knowledge of aircraft instrumentation, D/A A/D conversion, serial communication data busses such as RS-232/422, USB, and of the ARINC 429, ARINC 600, and Mil-1553 standards would be considered an asset.
- Experience with E2A, SEE Electrical, and Powerdraft, an asset.
- Bilingualism required.
