Role Summary:_


Our Ottawa Branch is recruiting a Fire Service Supervisor to oversee the branch operations, drive process improvements and deliver superior customer service.

Key Job Responsibilities:_

  • Oversee and provide leadership, mentorship, supervision, and training to technicians, as well as service and support staff.
  • Perform site visits to assist and support Technicians.
  • Review reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Implement MFA (Market Feedback Analysis) processes, meet with customers to mitigate and resolve concerns and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure Technicians are scheduled effectively and working efficiently to achieve revenue and margin targets.
  • Foster TEAM working relationships.
  • Provide leadership and support in maintaining EH&S policies, documentation, along with conducting audits and training.
  • Perform inspections of company vehicles and inventory levels.
  • Assist in managing Work-InProgress (WIP) reports, including but not limited to Job Status and approving & reconciling purchase orders for third party suppliers

Qualifications:_

  • Must have 5 years of experience in the Fire industry
  • Previous supervisor/leadership experience preferred
  • CFAA Certification preferred
  • Working knowledge of codes applicable to the provincial standard including Fire codes, electrical codes, building codes, and applicable CAN/ULC and NFPA standard desired
  • Post-Secondary diploma or degree in building systems, electronic technology, or equivalent knowledge/ work experience an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of Edwards Fire Products including EST panels preferred
  • Proficient computer skills (Office 365, Cloud, & other webbased app usage basics)
  • Basic understanding or WIP reporting and Fire Project financials
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision/selfmotivated and has a desire to work on a winning team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective at building relationships with a strong client service orientation
  • Adaptable to changing environments
  • Highly organized and able to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to convey a message in an organized, clear and effective manner
  • Goes beyond job requirements to seek opportunities and generate ideas for improvements
