We currently have a
Casual opportunity for a
Technician 1 in the
Medical Device Reprocessing Centre at our
Bayview and Holland
Campus.

**Hours of Work:
Weekdays:
Days, Evenings, Nights; 8hrs; As per schedule

Alternating Weekends:
Days, Evenings, Nights; 8hrs; As per schedule

Statutory Holidays Required

Summary of Duties

  • Prepares surgical case carts and delivers to the OR
  • Operates decontamination equipment
  • Prepares and packages sterile instrumentation/supplies, ensuring all quality indicators are met
  • Delivers and picks up supplies

Qualifications/Skills

  • Community College Sterile Supply Processing Certification or equivalent required within the last five (5) years or refresher course within the last two (2) years
  • Operating room instrumentation experience essential
  • Ability to pass Tech 1 competencies evaluation required
  • Recent experience in a Hospital Medical Devices reprocessing department required (within the last two (2) years)
  • Applicants with previous Tech 1 experience in MDRC at Sunnybrook will be given priority
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Competent computer skills
  • Ability to transport carts with supplies and lift instrument sets as required
  • Ability to work with changing priorities and customer requests
