    Description

    Working within diverse project teams, we are looking for a dynamic team player with experience in designing electrical systems for various types of facilities like institutional, healthcare, commercial, and industrial spaces. Your role involves everything from system selection to assisting with engineering analyses, designs, and implementations. You should be comfortable working at either our London or Ottawa office.

    Education and Licensing

    Must have P.Eng. or E.I.T. designation

    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

    Qualifications

    • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as Ontario Building Code, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, CSA, ULC, IEEE, IES, and NFPA.
    • Proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and at least 5 years of experience in electrical engineering for different types of buildings.
    • Understanding of construction practices and procurement processes.
    • Ability to work independently on complex engineering projects for various sectors.
    • Excellent communication skills and the willingness to collaborate in a team setting.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform electrical engineering calculations and equipment selection for projects.
    • Develop project specifications, lead design teams, and communicate project scope.
    • Collaborate with other engineers and consultants on electrical requirements.
    • Manage projects, including client and contractor interactions.
    • Ensure compliance with codes and project requirements.
    • Coordinate internal and external teams effectively.
    • Conduct site reviews and attend project meetings.

    Assets

    LEED Accreditation, Passive House Certification

    • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
