- Lead academic knowledge mobilization strategy for national research team
- Conceptualize data analysis plans and manuscript development for publication in peer-reviewed journals
- Coach, mentor, and train other staff and students in participatory research methods, how to conduct literature reviews, and academic knowledge mobilization. May also act as an in-scope supervisor
- Oversee manuscript submission and revision process, including independently develop manuscript outlines and draft written work
- Coordinate with Statistical Analyst to obtain relevant results, delegate work to junior team members, and collaborate with the larger research team
- Master's degree in community health, social work, education, or other relevant social science discipline
- 5+ years of related experience and completion of post-secondary education in relevant field
- Lead manuscript development and collaborate with other members of the team
- Advanced understanding of participatory research methods including community-based participatory research and patient-oriented research
- Intermediate understanding of Canadian research funding landscape and mechanisms
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint); Internet skills
- Provide technical support for other team members related to qualitative data analysis and knowledge mobilization including NVivo and Dedoose
- Experience coordinating a team of research assistants in working towards concrete deliverables
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Advanced academic writing skills
- Knowledge of research ethics and regulations for granting agencies (eg. Tri Council)

The Department of Community Health Sciences in the Cumming School of Medicine invites applications for a Knowledge Mobilization Specialist. This Fixed Term Recurring Part-time position is for approximately 4months (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.
Reporting to the Principal Investigator.
Recurring Part-time employees are hourly employees engaged to perform work on an irregular schedule.
